Antenna insulators You will find an extensive selection of end and centre insulators on this page. Besides the black egg type, all insulators are made of cast - and therefore stress-free plexiglass. The thickness of these insulators is 5mm, with the exception of the Mini-insulator, which is 8mm thick. These plexiglass insulators are totally UV-resistant, durable and inconspicuous. The insulators are cut using a laser beam, which results in clean, smooth and transparent edges. The holes for antenna wire are also de-burred. |

Egg insulator: For those of you who are looking for an alternative to the heavy, fragile ceramic egg insulators, I can offer one made of solid plastic. The insulator is about 70mm long and has a maximum diameter of 40mm. The weight is approx. 28g. As usual, both attachment holes are at 90 degrees to each other. Wide ribs lengthen the insulation path between the antenna wire and the supporting line. These insulators are clearly a case of overkill for DX-Wire. Price: 0.60 euro each
